Swimming

Larries love to swim. Rumor has it that they grow fins during the summer time and dive through our crystal clear swimming pool like dolphins.

School swimming works as follows : We hold swimming trials during school hours. We use this time to determine which swimmers will participate in our Inter house gala. After this gala we select the Larries swimming team for the season based on the results.

Once we have our team, we participate in the Inter Schools gala to determine which schools in our district will participate in the Top 10 gala.

During the Top 10 gala the Limpopo School’s team will be selected.

Swimmers who have been chosen for the school team but are not affiliated to a club can speak to the swimming organiser to arrange training sessions.

Club swimming works a bit different. The clubs (which we have two of in Tzaneen, TASK and Shamu) organise their own age group galas and sprint galas but works complete separate from school’s swimming.

Should you wish for your child(ren) to get professional coaching, if they were not taken up in the school team, you can contact one of the available clubs.
